Healthy Whole and Happy Kids was created by two teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, after the struggles parents faced when asked to homeschool their children practically overnight was overwhelmingly evident. This led to the idea that put H.W.H.K into motion. We are here to provide resources, homeschooling ideas, and tutoring services for elementary aged children and for children with special needs. While middle school and high school resources are not yet available, we will be working towards providing services for those ages as well.
To support parents and children throughout their journey through learning and education. We want to make finding answers easy and accessible to parents while focussing on the developmental needs of the child. It is our hope that through these resources, more and more children find success while parents find a peace of mind. Our passion is teaching and we want our students to find passion in learning.
At Healthy Whole and Happy Kids, we want to connect you with as many resources as we can! That is why we want to be the bridge between you and some of the teachers on our team who offer independent tutoring services.
These services are available upon request and are provided in home or at a local library by Florida state certified teachers. Services can be provided for all subject areas including math, reading, writing, science, social studies, early literacy skills and social skills, for grades k-6 and early intervention tutoring services for ages 3-5. Topics covered per session are flexible and each session will be designed to meet the individual student's needs.
In general, sessions are offered in 30 minute and 60 minute time slots and days and times will be worked out on an individual basis. Please be aware that as our teachers offer these services independently, prices, times and schedules may vary slightly. One-on-one sessions are preferred, however small group sessions can be accommodated up to 3 children. Have more than one child who could use some extra one-on-one instruction? We understand that traditional tutoring services may not be what's best for our students with special needs. That is why we searched for teachers who offer unique student tutoring and parent training service that incorporates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodology using evidence based practices. We want to make sure that ALL of our students and ALL of our parents feel loved and supported.
We will help connect our families with children with special needs to independent tutoring providers who are certified in exceptional student education and specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disabilities.
As the needs of these services are vastly different, pricing will be based on an individualized basis.

Arts integration is a nationally recognized teaching and learning strategy used by thousands of teachers nationwide. Arts integration, defined by the Kennedy Center (the leading organization in arts integration implementation) as “an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject and meets evolving objectives in both” (Silverstein & Layne, 2010, p. 1). When we use the arts as a means of instruction, so much learning can take place. Those students who may not excel on tests or jump for joy when asked to participate out loud in class can actually thrive and succeed through the use of arts integration strategies. Take a look at the websites below for ideas, support, and ideas on how to incorporate arts integration at home!
